Christmas Eve

Santa down the Chimney poster
Santa poster*
'Tis the night before Christmas. A time when we all feel the excitement and joy of being little kids again.
And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. - Matthew 18:3
Have a magical Christmas Eve.

  1. I lurk at Ace. Your comments are witty. I was curious about your site. Thanks for reminding me about the other Dickens. My friend's children are enjoying them.
Am reading On The Incarnation For Christmas. Just bought Naipaul's Among The Believers and Beyond Belief for the new year. Your views would be interesting. They're older books but perhaps important. Still, haven't read them yet.
    Merry Christmas!

    1. Hi! I'm glad you like the other Dickens - I think it was actually Mike Hammer that mentioned it first. There are so many great people that hang out there.
I will have to look up the books you mentioned - a whole new year of reading! Are you on the goodreads group by any chance?
      Have a Merry Christmas!

    2. You are witty [I hope- I do read a little more rapidly]. No, I've been hesitant about commenting. I just didn't want anyone who couldn't afford it to miss the free books. You replied kindly so I answered. You seem quite nice but you didn't take me to raise. Not that I won't be reading your reviews. That children's book looks good. I'm just feeling like a troll. My name is Mary. Someone hacked my google account about a year ago. Now Google wants a phone number. I just changed my number and am not giving it to Google.

    3. Hi Mary! I'm glad you commented. It's terrible that you got hacked. Just like you I get so annoyed when google, yahoo, fb etc keep asking me for my phone number! I'm glad a few spots, like twitter & goodreads, still let people join with just email & alias.
What do you mean by "You seem quite nice but you didn't take me to raise."?
I hope you keep reading my reviews. If you ever want to contact me you can email vm at the name of this blog.

    4. Hi! I was typing to ignore my driver. I had a stroke Christmas Eve. She wanted me to go to the ER. My feeling was it was three days before and I didn't go. Looking back, probably should have called an ambulance the twenty-fourth. I have a history of small strokes. Somehow,my feelings toward her got addressed to you. Guess the stroke wasn't as small as I thought. I'm fine now, just greatly embarrassed. Sorry, Mary

    5. Oh my goodness! you just had a stroke? Ar you getting good medical attention now? I will pray for your quick recovery. God bless you and keep you healthy, Mary.
