The KonMari Method
I haven't read this book. The reason I am posting about it is that a bunch of different people brought it up yesterday, on a day when I was dispiritedly trying to make order out of almost two decades of accumulated books and papers and stuff. So I thought maybe it's a sign.
From what I gather, Ms. Kondo's method, aka the KonMari method, is to look at the category of things you own and only keep those items that make you happy ("spark joy") and find a spot for it. For a quasi-hoarder like myself, that sounds scary but intriguing.
So I'm definitely going to try to get hold of a copy in time for spring cleaning. She also has a follow-up book titled Spark Joy and sub-titled "An Illustrated Master Class on the Art of Organizing and Tidying."
Have a good weekend, everyone!
